“No language can express the power, beauty, herosim and majesty of a mother’s love.”

Edwin Chapin

It had been a long time coming…I finally got my mommy in the studio to spoil her and spend the day together. I spend so much of my time with others and I needed to give that same experience to my mom. Because who better to deserve a pamper session and day all about her than my mom. She gives so freely and loves so deeply. Life moves so quickly and so you should make time for the relationships that mean the most. As a professional photographer, I was horrified when I realized that I didn’t have any professional photos of her that were taken recently. I knew that I need to photograph her soon.

She is the most important woman in my life. She has always been my biggest fan, shoulder to cry on, words of wisdom, hug-giver…I am eternally grateful to be her daughter and have her as my mom. She is the most beautiful woman I know and best mom I could have ever imagined.

The Photoshoot

We started off with hair & makeup at the Oxygen Bar & Beauty Salon downstairs of my studio building. We got to relax and talk while she was getting styled. This was my mom’s first professional makeup experience and she even got lashes! 😉 Then back in the studio, she slid into the designer dresses we rented so she felt and looked amazing. There’s something about a fabulous gown that coaxes out that inner confidence and glow. It was fun getting my mom into supermodel poses.

We laughed a lot during the shoot and my mom is smiling in a majority of our images. By the end of the day, we were exhausted but felt so rewarded to have created together. This day was so special and one that I will always remember.

I am beyond the moon because she not only has photographs of herself that represent where she is in life right now but images for family to love forever too. I know I will treasure these forever. Do you struggle to find time for yourself amongst the day to day responsibilities? Would you like  a day that is all yours that helps you reconnect to parts of that have been dormant?  I want to capture your radiant, feminine self and create images that you will love and stand the test of time.
