Kenya is a social worker and came to us needing some new professional headshots. We spoke over the phone prior to her session and she scheduled an appointment for our Headshot Mini event at the end of May. We discussed the vision she had for her headshots and I made recommendations on the best wardrobe to bring in to achieve it. By the end of our chat, she was very excited for her session.
When Kenya came into the studio, she was calm, collected but reserved. She seemed apprehensive about being photographed which is super common. She brought in some beautiful, polished professional outfits and I had a hard time narrowing down which couple of outfits we would use! But all it took was some hair and makeup pampering and by the time we were ready to shoot, she was starting to glow! There’s nothing like a professional hair and makeup artist to help ease the nerves and help you look your absolute best. Kenya opted for a more natural look because she doesn’t often wear makeup and I love the way the subtle colors complement her beautiful skin.
We first photographed Kenya in bold coral dress and I showed her one of the first images we took to assure her that everything was looking perfect. She lit up! The rest of her session was a breeze and it was so tough narrowing down her images! The Headshot Mini comes with 2 images with retouching but she loved her images so much she bought many more.
In Her Words
When I later asked Kenya about her experience with us, this is what she said:
